Statement of Faith
The author believes that Jesus Christ is the only son of the One True and Living God. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 2000 years ago He came to earth to show The Father to mankind and to redeem a people for the Father. Having lived without sin, He became sin as He was killed on a Roman cross. He was the perfect sacrificial Lamb that took upon Himself all of the sins of the world, past, present, and future. He was buried and by the power of Holy Spirit, He was raised from the dead. He appeared to many on earth after which He became seated at the right hand of God the Father. God is triune: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. For those who believe that Jesus died to save them from their sins, repent of their sins, and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, they become Children of God, indwelt by the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, Holy Spirit. Salvation is by grace from God alone. No one is saved by being “good”. Nor is anyone so evil as to be beyond God’s saving grace. Jesus is alive and accessible to all who believe to be in intimate relationship for those who seek Him. He is Savior, Lord, and for those who do His will and abide in relationship with Him, He is friend.
The Bible is God-inspired and True. The Old Testament speaks of Jesus who was to come, and the New Testament speaks of His coming the first time and His ultimate coming in the future. Jesus is the Living Word of God. He IS Truth.
What does it really mean to be saved?
- You are forgiven of everything you ever did wrong, from murder to gossip. God remembers your sins no more. 2. Jesus stands before God and intercedes for you forever. 3. Holy Spirit comes to live in you. Jesus says that the Kingdom of God is in you. 4. You gain eternal life, which means several things. All people have eternal existence. For those who want to live their own way and never want to turn to God and become one of His children, they get what they want, eternal separation from Him, which is called hell. For those who accept the amazing sacrifice Jesus made on your behalf to reconcile you to your Creator, who is infinite love and infinite light, you will live forever in God’s Presence. That’s so much more than just going to Heaven. It’s living with heaven inside you, knowing in a deep and personal way the love of God, His comfort, His guidance, and His Joy in you.
How do I get to Know Jesus?
Jesus is available to any human being. If you want to get in relationship with Him, you first need to accept who He really is and what He did for you already. It’s done. All you have to do is receive it. Jesus said that ALL who call on His Name will be saved. That includes you.
If you want to get to know Jesus you should pray to Him a prayer something like this:
Father, I’m calling out to you. I repent of my sins. I’ve done many bad things, but I want to turn away from all of that. I believe that Jesus died on a cross and took all of my sins upon Himself. By confessing that Jesus is Lord and Savior of my life, I understand that ALL of my sins are forgiven and you, Father, remember them no more. I want Holy Spirit to live inside me and fill me with His goodness. I’m told that you love me. I want to feel that love. Jesus, walk with me. I need your help.
If you prayed that prayer, you will have a personal encounter with Jesus and KNOW that you are saved. Press in and ask Him to speak to you. That may be a feeling, a voice, a sense of peace, or even something very dramatic, like a healing from addiction or physical healing. Some people immediately get what is called a Baptism of the Spirit and receive gifts from God, like languages they never knew. It varies. God is always talking to us. You now need to talk to Him (pray either silently or out loud) and listen to what He says back.
